BioPersonality:
Dr. Jekyll is a nervous sort of person. Once he was a tall, strapping man and a brilliant scientist who thought that by purging a man of his own darkness, what would be left would be an angelic creature. His countenance has shrunk and paled, his manner become more stammering and indecisive.
Though he is still a gentleman and acts as such, he is unable to stand up for himself or take much abuse from the world around him. However, do not think him without protection, for when the world becomes too much for him to bear. .
Mister Hyde is a curious creature, once short and weak, he took on a life of his own without Dr. Jekyll's restrains upon him. Of murderous and violent intentions, Hyde is now an immense and strapping beast who would just as soon rip his enemies limbs off, beat them to death, then devour the whole lot than hold a civilized conversation.
However, do not mistake Mister Hyde for being so one dimensional. There is one person in the world who does not hate him and therefore, whom he does not hate in turn. Madame Mina Murray is the only one able to control Hyde through her firm, but gentle words and respectful actions. She treats him no better and no worse than any other of the League members and in doing so, brought out a rather gentlemanly and protective nature in the beast.
He does not love her, for love is a fleeting thing, but more importantly, he respects her. And that, in turn, is what brought out the heroic nature that existed even in the darkness of Mister Hyde's personality.
History:
Dr. Jekyll was once a very respectable scientist and physician until one day, his experiment to remove the darkness from his personality was a success. Mister Hyde came out and for a while Jekyll had no knowledge of the killings that Hyde perpetrated.
However, the truth could not be concealed for long and after finding out he was indeed a seriel murderer, Jekyll took his own life. Or so it would seem, in truth, he merely fled and was caught up with by the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for which he was enlisted with the promise of a full pardon and ability to return to Paris once more when his services were no longer needed.
Hyde learned to come out more and more and Dr. Jekyll was a rare person to see. Though one might think the beast ready to betray, through Mina Murray's guidence of his slaughter (and sometimes without her knowledge of it) he became a useful weapon in stopping their opponents.
Then one day, Martians invaded, the League had a way to stop the alien attack, but it was not ready and the Martian tripod weapons were almost upon them. Were the Martians to reach the League's position before their secret weapon was realized, this would spell their downfall, and that of the very world.
Edward Hyde, then, knowing he was the most suited for the job, decided to go, seeking only a chaste kiss from Madame Mina, and the permission to put his hand upon her breast to feel her heart racing beneath. With a jaunt and a song, Hyde brought down the first alien, blocking the way so the other aliens could not pass. Plucking the creature from it's contraption, he consumed it before the other aliens and then was destroyed in a heroic blaze of glory and fire. But mostly fire.
